Delhi is a city that is always alive and vibrant. No matter if you want a car to attend a business meeting in Connaught Place, plan a weekend getaway to Agra, or just want the freedom to discover the city at your own pace, hiring a self-drive car is definitely one of the best options you can go for. Working with Veekay Cabs makes the whole thing very easy, clear and without any troubles, it is made not only for those who are going to rent a car for the first time but also for the experienced ones.
This is how you can rent a self-drive
car in Delhi step by step:
Step 1: Visit the Veekay Cabs Website or Call Directly
The quickest way to initiate a
self-drive car booking with us is to open their official website or find out
their customer support phone number and call them. The site itself is quite
user-friendly, there are no lengthy sign-ups or difficult navigation. You can
easily see the list of cars available, check the prices, and get a rough
estimate within a few minutes.
If you are more of a talking person,
then we will surprise you with their highly responsive customer service team
which can enlighten car selection, pricing queries, and availability checks,
just the kind of personal touch that most app-based platforms lack.
Step 2: Choose Your Car
- City
Cars (e.g., Swift, WagonR), very suitable for city driving and quick
travels
- Cars
(e.g., Dzire, Amaze), will offer you comfort and style when traveling
intercity
- SUVs
(e.g., Ertiga, Innova), can provide a great experience for family trips,
hill station drives or group outings
It goes without saying that only you can
decide the most appropriate car for you based on your travel purpose, the
number of passengers, and the nature of the place to be covered. When it comes
to hill destinations like Manali or Mussoorie, an SUV with high ground
clearance is the best.
Step 3: Select Your Rental Plan
Veekay cabs has several plans of car
rental that you can adapt to your need:
- Hourly
Plan, Good for brief city errand runs
- Daily Plan — Ideal for full-day local use
or outstation day trips
- Multi-Day Plan — Best value for weekend
getaways or extended road trips
Each plan offers a specified kilometre
limit and pricing format. Veekay Cabs is all for fair pricing without any
gimmicks, they don't add any hidden charges to the bill after you sign it.
Step 4: Submit Your Documents
Shortly after finalizing your self-drive
car rental in Delhi, you are expected to submit a couple of essential
documents. Veekay cabs eases this task by making it quick and paperless:
·
Driving Licence (valid and at least 1
year old) original document only
·
Aadhaar Card or Passport (for
identification purpose)
·
A Selfie with you and your documents
(for carrying out digital verification)
There are online channels like the
website or WhatsApp through which the documents can be submitted. This ensures
that the whole process of document verification is done quickly, comfortably,
and without the need to go to any office.
Step 5: Pay and Confirm Your Booking
After document verification, make the payment
of the booking amount via a secure online method such as UPI, debit/credit
card, or net banking. At the time of booking or car pickup, a security deposit
that is refundable is taken, such deposits are a common occurrence, and once
the car is returned in good condition, this amount will be handed back to you
completely.
A booking confirmation will be sent that
instantaneously contains the trip details, car information, and pickup
instructions.
Step 6: Pick Up Your Car and Hit the Road
Come the day of your booking, get your
self-drive cars in Delhi at the specified point in Delhi, or if you want, go
for home delivery in case your area is within their service scope. Walk around
the car to confirm its condition, note any existing scratches, and check the fuel
level before you drive off.
